EWA Initiative strives to empower women in African agriculture for viable livelihood and food security, as well as to become active economic agents in Africa’s agricultural transformation and sustainable development.

Our vision

EWA Initiative appeal to Heads of State and governments of the African continent to « empower women in African agriculture for viable livelihood and food security, as well as to become active economic agents in Africa’s agricultural transformation and sustainable development ».

Our mission

EWA is an innovative process of gender-inclusive change on the continent via the Africa’s agricultural transformation agenda. EWA has a mission to reinforce the potential of women in agriculture largely untapped due to systemic obstacles to full inclusion of women in the agricultural development process in Africa.
